Chelsea Flower Show Cocktail

Gustavo Bertolucci, head mixologist at Pearl Restuarant and Bar has created an extravagant and delicious cocktail especially for the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show

Follow the recipe below to make your own, which should be garnished with a Singapore Orchid and presented in a Martini glass! Alternatively, you can just visit Pearl and buy one for £13.75. But be quick! It's only available from the 1st May 2009 for 6 weeks!

Chelsea Flower Show Cocktail ingredients:

Ruinart Rosé champagne

Dash of orange bitters

25ml of cranberry juice

10ml of cranberry syrup

25ml of Tanqueray gin

25ml of Kwai Feh lychee liqueur

Method:

Shake the gin, cranberry juice and syrup, orange bitters, and lychee liqueur; ideally in a Boston Shaker. Then double strain the mixture into a Martini glass. Top up with Ruinart Rosé champagne and garnish with a beautiful Singapore orchid!

Getting ready for Chelsea!

I was taking a taxi ride through Chelsea on Tuesday morning - and saw plenty of signs of the Chelsea Flower Show getting ready to bloom!

Unfortunately I couldn't peer in! They had big green sheets covering the railings so there were no sneak peeks of what's instore!
